Spread a pretend month on the blanket before you judge it. Write four lines: money that arrived, money that left to keep the lights on, money that left because you felt like it, and money that left and you cannot quite explain. The last line is not a confession. It is where most months hide the story.
Use one recent month, not your best one. If you share a home, write only the part with your name on it, then add a note for shared bills you actually pay. Round to the nearest ten if exact cents make you quit. A finished sketch beats a perfect sheet that never starts.
A pretend example. Pretend March for Aya: 2,400 arrived. Keeping the lights on took 1,650. Felt-like-it spending was 310. Unexplained taps came to 80. The blanket still has 360 sitting on it. That 360 is not a personality trait. It is unassigned.
